Parchee

Parchee issued by the MCD, as receipt of payment of Rs. 7000 - "share money from dwellers" towards a plot of land elsewhere in the city.
Last week, it was learnt from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi that parcheez for allocation of land will be given out in Nangla between the 3rd and the 6th of August. The process finally began on the 4th, when 33 parcheez were given out. 99 were given away on the 5th.

The next round of distribution of parcheez will be later in the month.

According to MCD officials, they have a list of 950 people who will be relocated. The list has two categories - I and II - pre 1990 and pre 1998. These parcheez are receipts of cash (Rs. 7000) that have to be deposited towards the land. They say "cash received for 10 years".

In another round, parcheez for land - that is where the relocation will be and what the plot number is - will be given away against the cash receipts.

Those who have sufficient documents, yet are not included in the list of those eligible for relocation, have been asked to submit photocopies of the requisite documents - Ration cards and Election IDs - to the Slum JJ department, after getting them attested by a responsible government official.
